ABOUT

Hello!
I'm Amanda Anderson-You, a data visualization designer and developer working at The Eric and Wendy Schmidt Center for Data Science and Environment (DSE) at UC Berkeley.
I am passionate about translating complex information into accessible and visually engaging visualizations to inspire change and progress. I have worked on a variety of projects focusing on topics such as climate, healthcare, philanthropy, and art.
I completed my Master of Science degree in Data Visualization from Parsons School of Design, The New School and worked as a freelance designer and developer for several years prior to bringing my expertise to DSE. I obtained my bachelor’s degree in individualized studies with a minor in Danish from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, trying out new recipes, traveling, and sewing.
I am not currently taking on any freelance projects, however if you'd like to chat about data visualization or would like a referral for a project, please feel free to contact me.
