This visualization explores Yosemite National Park through the lens of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In a qualitative analysis, I showcase both mountain contours of notable landmarks, as well as compare and contrast historic paintings of Yosemite with modern photographs of the same iconic sites.

The viewer can interact with the painting // photograph comparison by sliding the circle to reveal either the painting from the Met's collection on the left side, or a modern photograph of the same park location sourced from Unsplash on the right side.
